Wednesday 28th June

The met office got it wrong with the overnight yellow warning of heavy rain and rain continuing until midday – light rain overnight and no rain in the morning.  Unfortunately the forecast flyable afternoon was wrong too.  Low cloud base put the lid on flying but the hardy few who turned made use of the time to the benefit of the club.  Bill C fixed the battery charging system: Tony P fitted the window seal on the new launch point vehicle; Dennis G strumming;  Colin B and Rowland P made progress on the new winch (with a but of brute force assistance from others getting the gas tank in places); Paul B busy on strop maintenance; Alan P lead the de-rig of JMX ready for its ARC.

Somewhat of a contrast from the 30+ temperatures of the previous Wednesday.
