On Sunday Liz kindly offered the back seat of Duo Discus 620 to give me some tips on flying XC faster. Oh and to undertake some instructor checks 🙂
After Pitsford and Petersfield West we were supposed to fly back north to Oxford and back to Lasham (sorry the L word!) for 420K but upon reaching Petersfield the lure of the coast was just too strong.
It’s always been a dream of mine to fly an A/R to the Isle of Wight and I came very close to achieving it as the photos below prove.
All in all about 340K was flown but even though we didn’t make the trip over the Solent it really was great fun!
