Sunday was hot and lazy.
The laziness was from the thermals you understand and not the membership who toiled all day.
They rigged multiple gliders and derigged one more.
They launched, retrieved, instructed, brought cakes*, conjugated the verb to glide, flew and finally did the smidgenist of soaring.
*Tony’s cakes were very disgusting – if he brings more dont bother to try them, if you see me eating them its only so he doesn’t feel bad.
In amongst it all Stan flew his Ka-6cr for the first time, having had a trip round in it myself, all I can say is, how lovely!
Not Stan in not his glider at not Rivar Hill. It is however a Ka6Cr <<credit>>
As an aside to this my annoying syndicate partner asked when was the last time I had flown an all wood glider – a T31 in 2005, he then proceeded to point out that I wasnt very good at soaring all wood (pun in there somewhere….), the longest flight of my 11 total flights being 14minutes…
