After a couple of dry days the Wednesday faithful’s hoped for the chance to fly but it was not to be. The weather brightened up in the afternoon but the airfield was just too soggy. A few of us entertained ourselves with a little light pruning extending gap in the hedge line on the approach. It’s now wide enough for a glider (maybe even the Duo or the Nimbus). As a result the thermal generator increased in size.
Now just waiting for a day when the ground is firm enough to enable us to fly with the launch point at the southern end – then we can light the blue touch paper.
