Chris and I took the Janus on a 250k O/R to SACkville. Due to the slow clearance of early morning rain and low cloud we started the task at 3pm and finally got back at 6:44pm 🙂
The 125k run to Sackville was not too bad as we had 2 barrels (50kg) of water on but the return leg was challenging as the airmass was starting to change for the worse.
Almost diverted to Bicester but some hard fought climbs and a lot of luck got us to Cowley and 5000ft which left us with about a 51k final glide.
This was done at an average speed of just over 130kph and saw us cross the finishing line at about 800ft as we dumped the water. Great fun 🙂
