The experience will start with a brief ground school where you will be shown the aircraft, its controls and an explanation of what will happen during the flight. This will then be followed by one or two flights (with approximately 20 mins of flight time) in a two seater glider with one of our qualified instructors where you will be shown the effects of the main aircraft controls and, if you wish to, you can put what you've been shown into practice and fly the glider yourself!
Every Gliding Experience includes 2 months membership of our Gliding Club. This means you can return to the club after your initial flight and fly with us again within that two month period at the same prices as any other member.
If you wish to purchase multiple flying experiences for different people, please go through the order process several times to put the required number in the cart - you can then check them all out with one payment.
Gliding Experience
At Shalbourne Gliding we use a winch to get us in the air, once released we glide and soar the local countryside and demonstrate the controls and how to fly, then, if you are comfoftable we will let you have a go. Simply follow the instructions of your pilot and enjoy the new found freedom of flight!
Once purchased your voucher will will be sent out to you by email. The email gives details of what to expect as well as directions and other useful information. Please bring the voucher along on the day of your flight.
