SHALBOURNE GLIDING BASIC COSTS
WINCH LAUNCH
We have two winches which pull the glider into the air up to a maximum height of 3,000 above the airfield. The cost of this to members is £12.25 per launch.
Junior members (less than 25) are charged just £10

CLUB FLYING
Once airborne you pay 45 pence per minute (juniors 35 pence per minute) to fly. This flat rate applies whether you are with an instructor or flying solo in one of our gliders.
When you're learning, tuition is free! All our instructors are qualified to BGA standards and work as volunteers for the love of our sport
MEMBERSHIPS
Memberships for Adults are currently £399 per year and we offer discounted rates for Young Adults (under 21) and Juniors (Under 18) as well as for multiple members in the same household
FLYING EXPERIENCES
We offer different options for trying out gliding if you are new to the sport. We want you to experience the thrill of silent flight and hope that this leads on to welcoming you into the gliding community. But even as a one-off event, our experiences make an ideal gift.
